5 Awesome Parks to Visit this Houston Summer
As a small family owned business, we know what quality time with our loved ones means. Summer time in Texas really brings the heat but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the great outdoors. We’ve put together a short but helpful list of parks and playgrounds in Houston and surrounding areas, for you to enjoy this summer!
Levy Park: Located in the heart of Upper Kirby, this park features a beautiful combination of playground, splash pad and dog park. Check out the food trucks or restaurants that are on site for an extra fun outing. Events happen here often so be sure to check their linked website for the schedule.
The Commons Hermann Park: This park, a relatively new addition to Hermann Park, is a great way to spend the days with little ones as it features several different playgrounds, splash pad and a carousel (there is a cost associated). It is a mix of nature and fun as you walk along the trails. Parking can be a hassle so plan accordingly especially on the weekends.
Evelyn’s Park: This park located in Bellaire, TX is a true gem. It features several playground equipments, a splash pad, a sand area and beautiful flowers and plants to observe as you walk to the main attraction. Bonus added is the cute little restaurant, Betsy’s, located on site. Best of all, this park is smaller so you don’t have to worry about losing your littles. Additional parking on weekends is available at the Church across the street.
Riverpark Splash Pad: Located in the sweetest part of Texas, Sugar Land, this park has a splash pad where kids can enjoy for hours. It features a playground and zip line as well. It is great as you don’t need to run after your children since it is a small park. The only down side to this park is that there are no public restrooms available.
Ridgeview Park: This is like a mini water park located in Missouri City, TX but without the long waits in line or worry of losing your children. The park also features a playground, benches and walking path.
We hope you enjoy the outdoors all the while staying cool! Don’t forget to pack a lot of water to stay hydrated during this summer.
